Watching my mobile really for the first time
3.22.11

Alexa is now almost 6 weeks!  More cute pictures of her from the last couple of weeks!

Zander

Sweet Zander happy over the new Night Fury shirt Nana found for him!

What help!

As we are adjusting to life I forget how helpful the boys can be!  I was trying to hurry and get done making dinner and Alexa was waking up...Brody was willing to feed Alexa so that he got dinner and didn't have to listen to her cry!  He is a good big brother!

What is that?

As I said Gage is the child that keeps us on our toes...I was a at friends house the other day...Gage and her daughter were playing in the toy kitchen with a pitcher, of course they had to put real water in it that Gage promptly spilled down the front of him.  I didn't worry about that, it would dry.  A few minutes later he comes into the room and it looked like he had been in a dirt pile from head to toe...what is that all over you?  As he had been inside and there is no dirt accessible outside as there is still snow all over the ground...He runs back into the kitchen and we see the mess....Nestle chocolate milk powder (a 70 oz can) all over the counter, floor and him!  You could play in it like it was a pile of sand because there was so much of it everywhere!  Oh my goodness child...you sure know how to make a mess!  I start cleaning the kitchen....
While he goes in the bathroom.  I didn't keep him right there by me (I should have learned by this point) He starts to try to clean himself up in the sink...with more water!  Let's just say there was chocolate smeared all over the bathroom...the sink, floor, tub and wall!  Oh I thought there was a mess in the kitchen...I put him in the bathtub so I can keep an eye on him while I clean up this mess!  Luckily my friend found this funny (or so she said) and thought she came out better in the deal because she had watched him and Alexa for a couple of hours and got a deep cleaned bathroom out of the deal!
The week before this incident he came in our room about 5 am, he had found  a dove chocolate egg and climbed into bed...there was chocolate melted all over the white sheets....even knowing what it was....still looked disgusting!  When he comes and tells me..."make a mess"...I wonder what I'm in for this time!  I think he could be a professional mess maker...if that profession existed!

Oh funny Gage!

Riding in the car with his apple...sleeping!

ooooh Dad let's go for a ride...even though we've been in the car for hours this one looks cooler!

Oh the love!

What all do you have back here dad?
Gage has spent a lot of time with Dad since Alexa was born.  Scott had to go to Colorado and he took Gage with him and he loved it!  You would think that after riding 14 hours in the car he wouldn't want to go near it...oh no not this child.  They get to Colorado and he wants to go in the car that is in the garage.  If anyone is leaving he wants to go for a ride with them!  He loves the kitties when he is there and they must love him to sleep with him.  Gage is always keeping us on our toes of what he will say or do next!

Zander wanted to be in the picture too!

Scott was burping her (she likes to hold onto her air!) and I thought it was a cute picture to show her size!

These are random picures I have taken of Alexa to send to Scott!  Thought I would share!

Grizz

This was Grizz waiting on me the other morning and I thought it was hilarious.  He wanted outside...he came over to tell me and then laid down in this position and kept looking at me!  I don't know if he had his legs crossed because he had to go the bathroom so bad or if it was like he was standing there staring at me with his arms folded?! Either way I found it funny!

Snow...blizzard...ugh

These pictures are from yesterday when I was just mad at the weather, so much so that I closed my curtains and refused to look at it anymore!  People in Colorado kept telling me it was 60 degrees and so nice there and this was the weather we had after finally having a nice day on Thursday.  I wanted to be in Colorado so bad with Scott but just thought it would be too hard to travel that far with Alexa so little.  I'm ready for warmer weather not more snow!

Family Fun Night

Each year the school PTO puts on a Family Fun Night.  This year is was the week after we had Alexa, Scott had literally just walked in the door from coming back from Utah so I took the boys.  This was my first real outing since having the baby!  I was glad that it was just down the street and that it wasn't very long!  I got overwhelmed easily...we walked into the gym and there is constant balloons being popped by the activity that you see above!  Kids are everywhere doing different activities.  I quickly found an empty place along the wall and counted my blessings that I didn't have to help with any of this!  I will gladly help with the book fair!  The boys had fun and were ready to go home once they had won a book!

More of Alexa!

Taken at hospital

by the nurses

I love her making faces!

being funny!

Sunday afternoon...6 days old
Her sleeping tonight!

Smiling last night...
I didn't have internet over the weekend and I got the disk of pictures from the hospital.  The nurses will dress the baby in the take home outfit and take pictures for you.  They put them on the hospital website (with your permission of course) and then mail you the disk of all of them.  I wasn't sure what all would be put on the website but it was just one so I wanted to add some to the blog that I thought were cute!  Then of course we've taken some over the weekend that I liked too!  She is a sweet calm baby and I hope she stays that way!  I need to get some sleep while she is sleeping right now but wanted to quickly add these!

Laying in her bed for the first time!
Gage willing to share Dad!

In the car seat ready to leave the hospital

Gage checking out baby lexa!

Meeting their sister!

Brody had fun dressing up to come see Alexa! Superman cape and all!

Loving family moment!

Brody and Alexa

Zander and Alexa

Zander loving Mom!
The boys coming to meet their sister!  Brody and Zander were so excited to come!  Since she was born before school started and Nana had arrived in the night we let the boys skip school for the day!  (They shouldn't have had school because it was Presidents Day but our school district took Friday off instead because it was state wrestling!)  Brody and Zander thought she was so cute!  Gage acknowledged that there was a baby but was more interested in anything he could climb or any button he could push in the room!

Wide awake!

Here are a couple of pictures of her wide awake at the hospital.  So far she has a very calm demeanor.  Doesn't cry much, calms down fast and easy if she does cry and loves to be cuddled up and warm!
And she's here!

Cuddling with Mom!
Loving the warmer!
Alexa Maelee arrived very quickly Monday morning!  The induction was scheduled, we needed to be at the hospital by 5 am! (ugh).  Started the medicine to induce at 6 and she was born at 7:52 am!  She was 7 lbs 8 oz and 21 inches long!  She was much bigger than any of the boys!
